Some Great Books

Hi girls!

I'm back to posting! I haven't posted in a while... I've been pretty busy but I will try to post on my day every week. :)

I have been reading the Humphrey books by Betty G. Birney. The books say ages 7-11, but even though I'm 12, I still enjoy reading them! I just started book 1 called The World According to Humphrey. By the way, Humphrey is a hamster!

The World According to Humphrey

There are 9 books that go to the series. I finished book 1 yesterday and I started book 2 yesterday, too!

Friendship According to Humphrey

I have enjoyed this book so far! It's really cute!
When I use to go to school, (charter school), my teacher would read the Humphrey books.

Trouble According to Humphrey

The author, Betty, actually came to our school! That's how popular "Humphrey" was! She signed the books I had. That was about 4 years ago; I didn't even read them until yesterday. :D

Surprises According to Humphrey

I can't wait to read this book! Seems like there will be lots of surprises...

Adventure According to Humphrey

:D

Summer According to Humphrey

Betty has a website here.

School Days According to Humphrey

I need to get this book!

Mysteries According to Humphrey

Cute. :)

Winter According to Humphrey

I hope you enjoyed this post! I sure did! :)

Let me know if you have read these books or want to start reading them.

I love reading...

Hello! Another late post from Rose! Whoo hoo! :P This weeks theme is reading. And I absolutely LOVE reading. It allows me to lose myself in my own little fantasy world...

It is one of my many obsessions... ;)

The book I am currently reading is called Matched, by Ally Condie. Very, very good book.

Matched by Ally Condie

Cassia has always trusted the Society to make the right choices for her: what to read, what to
watch, what to believe. So when Xander's face appears on-screen at her Matching ceremony, Cassia knows with complete certainty that he is her ideal mate... until she sees Ky Markham's face flash for an instant before the screen fades to black.
The Society tells her it's a glitch, a rare malfunction, and that she should focus on the happy life she's destined to lead with Xander. But Cassia can't stop thinking about Ky, and as they slowly fall in love, Cassia begins to doubt the Society's infallibility and is faced with an impossible choice: between Xander and Ky, between the only life she's known and a path that no one else has dared to follow.

A truly good book teaches me better than to read it. I must soon lay it down, and commence living on its hint. What I began by reading, I must finish by acting.

Thanks for reading!

Sorry for not posting//Books

Hi guys!
Sorry I didn't post last week! :P
I was super busy that day.

Anyway...last weeks theme was Books but,
since I didn't get to post last week, I'll post about my fave books today. :D

The Hunger Games Trilogy.
I am a HUGE fan of these books.
(that's an understatement;)

Katniss is a 16-year-old girl living with her mother and younger sister in the poorest district of Panem, the remains of what used be the United States. Long ago the districts waged war on the Capitol and were defeated. As part of the surrender terms, each district agreed to send one boy and one girl to appear in an annual televised event called, "The Hunger Games." The terrain, rules, and level of audience participation may change but one thing is constant: kill or be killed. When Katniss' sister is reaped, Katniss steps up to go in her place.

This was one of my favorite books a few years back.
It's an adorable story!

Jenny hates pretending to be a mouse, but that's exactly what she has to do for her school project.  Every fourth grader is writing letters to a second grader--in mouse character.  Most of her classmates think it's fun, but Jenny can't think of much to say.  When she fails to get an answer from her second grader, Sameera, Jenny is embarrassed and angry.
Soon Jenny discovers the reason behind Sameera's silence: she doesn't speak English.  At first Jenny is mad that her project is a flop.  But later she sees how hard it is for Sameera in her new country.  Will Jenny decide to use her project to help the new girl fit in?  Or will she trade her in for another second grader?

This was one of my all time favorite books when I was younger. :D
One of the first pages states, "Take it SLOWLY this book is DANGEROUS!"
When me and my older sister read this,
we would try to read it as fast as we could without messing up. That was hard. ;)
Just read below and you'll see why...

See what I mean?? ;)
I DARE you to read that out loud, FAST.
If you did, comment 'Fox'! ;)

Well, that was just a few samples of what I like to read. :)

Thanks for reading today, and remember...

and the bottle's on a poodle and the poodle's eating noodles...
...they call this a muddle puddle tweetle poodle beetle noodle
bottle paddle battle.”
